Winter Wishes
It's the last day of the month, and that means I'd better post my cards for Tracy's Christmas Card Challenge! I only got time to make them yesterday, but they were quick and easy. I really like how they turned out.
The challenge was to make dp the focal point of the card, and to use at least 2 different embellishments. I found this fun flocked snowflake paper at the craft store and paired it with some silver card bases, silver ribbon and felt brads. The sentiment is heat embossed with silver, too.
I'm off to start packing up more stuff around the house. One realtor came yesterday, and another is coming today for walk-throughs. We should be on the market by the end of next week. YIKES! Let's hope for a quick sale :)
Thanks for looking!

Clean and Simple
Last week on SCS, there was a challenge to use a sketch for a clean and simple card, and another challenge to use piercing. Do you think I could get my card posted in time and not a week later? Not these days! I used a Kraft base, some pretty blue flowers I had in my stash, and a sentiment from Stampendous. There you go, done, as Justin would say :)
I just spent a few great days with my mom, and we cranked out some cutie baby shower favors! I'll post them later this week. Right now, I have to clean up my craft room and start packing some of my goodies away for a short time. Hopefully when they wake up they will be in a BIG new crafty room ready to be played with!
By the way, does anyone know where the month of April went? I can't believe Saturday is May 1st already! Have a good Tuesday. Thanks for looking!

Baby Love
Since we are done having children, I will never have a baby girl, but I do so love the pink stuff! Luckily, our friends have girls and I can get the girly part of me out on them...
This card came together very quickly the other day, with some pink gingham that was on my desk along with the pink and white polka dots. I added a scallop edge punch, heart punch and sentiment from MFT (who also made the onesie stamp).
There you go. Done. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! Can you believe it's almost the last week of April already? Yikes!! Thanks for looking!

More Welcome Neighbor Fun
I am loving this little paper pad from the SU! Sale-a-bration!! It has so many cute patterns inside. And I LOVE the colors :)
Here I used the Bermuda Bay and Pretty in Pink with some Melon Mambo and Kraft. I also used the new heart punch and some Thickers that were in my stash. In fact, they've been in my stash so long they are no longer sticky - I had to glue them down. So this card fits the Monday Lunchtime Sketch from Mary Jo and the EONAC to use stickers! Yeah, double duty :)
I've been very selfish this week and have been using naptime to stamp. Although I have been caught up on laundry, that's about the only chore I've been keeping up with this week. I did go to the grocery store yesterday and have been cooking dinner, but that's about it. Oh, and Justin is making sure I make my bed every day :)
Tomorrow, it's a cleaning marathon as my mom is coming!! We have 65 baby shower favors to make by Tuesday when she leaves, so we'll be busy! I hope they come out as cute as they are in my head. I'll share when we're done. Meanwhile, look for a couple more posts of what I've created all week. Thanks for looking!

Welcome Neighbor
Don't you just love the little houses in the Welcome Neighbor paper pad from SU!? I love the colors, and the fact that it dictates a color combo, too. It gets me to use that Crushed Curry that otherwise intimidates me! Here, it's paired with Old Olive and Kraft with a tiny bit of Bermuda Bay.
I used the CPS Sketch 163 for the layout and the sentiment is from Loads of Love Accessories. I popped up a few of the houses and a tree on the main image panel with foam dots and pierced the corners. Easy peasy!!

Simple Sticker Fun
This week's EONAC is super-easy!! No stamping required, and uses up all those stickers we all have laying around. I made one card, but have a bunch more of this same sticker, so will make more to use them up! We are relocating and whatever I use up, I don't have to pack and move :)
The glittered kraft layer was on my desk from an earlier EONAC (to use something messy) but I never finished a card with it. Lo and Behold, it matched the sticker!! Then I dug a little deeper and found this purple card base, too. Not sure which purple it is from SU - Perfectly Plum, maybe? Love when things fall together.
I'm going back to sorting through the stuff in our house now. I have cleaned out so much using our local Freecycle group. I am addicted!! I have lots more cards to come this week, since I've been sneaking in lots of stamping time (it's a wonder what a little coffee can do to one's productivity level). Thanks for looking!

Father's Day, Color Throwdown Style...
Yippee! I did the Color Throwdown (#88) before the deadline :) Thanks to DH for taking the boys out for a bit this afternoon, allowing me some guilt-free craft time!
I didn't add a sentiment so this could actually be a Father's Day or other masculine holiday card. AND, I made two of them since everything was already out and being cut. Aren't I productive? LOL.
The base is Tangerine Tango and the dp is from Basic Grey, with a little So Saffron mixed in for good measure. Image layers are cut with the Deckled Rectangle Nesties. So fun!
I hope everyone had a good weekend! We got big news, but also had to sadly cancel our big summer vacation. I'm bummed, but good things are on the horizon :) Thanks for looking!

Trying To Clean Off My Desk
Instead of trying to put everything neatly away and cutting into the short amount of craft time I have, I decided to make another card with the supplies already out on my desk this week. These papers are from the SCS Tuesday Color Challenge. I used the same stamp set, too. The dp is made by me using Vintage Vogue, one of my new favorite stamp sets. Colors are Cameo Coral, Blush Blossom, Creamy Caramel and Ruby Red. The flowers is clear embossed and cut out. The sentiment is from MFT.
Credit for the layout goes to Mary Jo, who posts her Monday Lunchtime Sketch each week. We are up to 117 and they just keep getting better!
DH is actually home for a couple days, so we are hanging out this weekend. Justin and I will be going on a date tomorrow morning and then we'll have some family time. Maybe I'll get more time to craft and post, but if not, have a great weekend! Thanks for looking!

Bee-lated Birthday Wishes!
My birthday book is updated, I just have to remember to look at it! We missed our niece's birthday earlier this week, and I feel horrible about it. This will hit the mail with a little something tomorrow...
I used Kim Hughes for Cornish Heritage Farms, The Birds and the Bees and some Heidi Grace alphabet rubons. The colors are Melon Mambo and Crushed Curry, along with a bit of Kraft. The bees are embossed with black and the rhinestones are from my stash. These letter rubons were so close together on the sheet it was very hard to cut them out and then place them in line! That is why they are a little crooked. The image panel is cut with Nesties Labels Eight. Love those right now! I offset the Melon Mambo layer on the Crushed Curry so it would peek out just a bit. The dp is from the Welcome Friends pack by SU!
Time to get ready to walk and meet Justin at school. I am loving these afternoon walks to get him and he loves being outside on the way home! He runs ahead and tries to go faster than the cars passing us - it's too funny. Sometimes I think I have a dog and not a boy. He also likes to push the stroller, too!
Have a good afternoon and thanks for looking!

Color Challenge Friends Card
This is the most I have stamped in a long time. I mean actually putting the ink to the rubber - many of the cards I've made in the last week or so have included assembling elements like die cuts. The Color Challenge on SCS today was Cameo Coral, Ruby Red, Blush Blossom and an option of Creamy Caramel or Close to Cocoa. I chose to add the Creamy Caramel and layered it all on top of Very Vanilla. The floral layer was created by stamping the flowers from Vintage Vogue onto the Blush cs since I didn't have any dp in the right colors. The F is stamped in Cameo Coral on Blush Blossom and so is the sentiment. I stamped the small flower in Ruby Red and cut it out twice to add some dimension.
I had Carter to the doctor this morning for his re-check after being sick, and he still has some crackling in his lungs. That means another week on the nebulizer, which in turn means another week of cruddy sleep. I think I want a nanny just so I can go take a nap and hand him off when he is cranky! He's also been VERY hungry lately and to top it off, I think his teeth are finally going to come in. Fun fun fun!
I hope you are all having a good day. Thanks for looking!

Hello Birdy
In an effort to use up more scraps and not create new ones, I made this little bird card using the new SU! punch. I love that little punch! For the eye, I applied a tiny black pearl.
It is official - we are on the move! DH recently took a new position within his company, and we are relocating to Texas. Our target move time is July. Quite a change from NJ, but we are excited for something new, and a place where the cost of living is not so outrageous. The next few months will be a flurry of house hunting trips and moving related work, and I don't know how my stamping time will be.
Right now, I *should* be cleaning, packing and getting the house show-ready, but I'm going to spend a little time pre-writing some posts instead. We have a realtor coming tonight and another later this week to go over final numbers, and should have a sign on the lawn by next week. Maybe even by this weekend! Luckily, I have made a stack of cards over the last few weeks that I have not posted. So even if I don't have time to stamp, the blog won't be a wasteland...
Please stick with me and I'll be sure to show pics of the new craft room as soon as I find a house that has one! And if you know about the Allen, TX area, please let me know. Thanks for looking!
Inside Out Card
I had this piece of Basic Grey Junebug paper in my pile, along with this Tangerine Tango card stock, so I put them together today. To mix things up, I put the dp on the inside for the most part, and left a space between the two pieces to write a short note or sign a name. The butterfly punched shape is the Cuttlebug butterfly die. The best part is that now I have a butterfly to add to another project, all ready to go! The sentiment is from Sweet Little Sentiments by SU! There is a strip of lace under the dp on the front of the card, and I added rhinestones to the centers of some of the flowers.
Can you believe Monday is almost over? I see a Starbucks coffee in my future tomorrow morning! I have a list of challenges to get to and we are slowly preparing the house to put on the market, so things are busy busy! I hope you are having a good week! Thanks for looking!

Mom, Don't Look!
This card combines the F4A7 challenge at SCS (it used to be the Limited Supply challenge), the sketch from Technostamper's Monday Lunchtime Sketch 116, and the EONAC 12 to use up scraps. Who doesn't have scraps? I save every last bit of paper and am embarrassed to see how big my scrap stash really is. It's fun to go through the stash and try to remember what the original project was. Sometimes I think, "Oh, yeah, I loved that card." And sometimes "Oh, WHAT was I thinking?"
The papers here were sent to me in a swap a looong time ago, and the base is Rose Red. The letters are from MFT's Bling Bet and are decorated with Liquid Pearls. They are mounted on circles and Blossom One die cuts. I realize the Blossom layers should have been a lighter color to make them stand out a little more, but it's done.
We have had quite a week around here and are looking forward to a quiet weekend. I hope you have a good one! Thanks for looking!

It Can't Be Thursday Again Already!
Man, what a couple of weeks! Here's a recipe that creates NO stamping time: Add together one spring break for Justin a road trip for Easter. Stir in a sick Carter, including a trip to the doctor and hospital for chest x-rays. Toss in a business trip for DH and a sleepless Mama. Oh, and discussions on a big relocation in the not-too-distant future. Not fun...
Finally I had time to sit at my desk this morning, and the EONAC challenge 10 was the perfect one for me. This week, it is to finish those projects that are half-way done! I had these paper pieces cut on my desk from the last time I created, and the sentiments were printed from Sheetload of Cards over the winter. Maybe even from the Fall. Basically, I just assembled the pieces and didn't even stamp anything new. I do like the color combination, though!
To play along on SCS today with the Ways to Use it Challenge, I turned the sentiments on an angle. It worked perfectly because they are a little long for a standard A2 sized card.
I have more pieces in another dp to use up, but we'll see when I have more time. I think I hear Carter thumping in his crib upstairs now. I hope you have a good day and thanks for looking!

Sweet Little Birthday Card
With my latest SU! order, I got this cute little Happy Moments set. Yesterday I finally got around to mounting the stamps. Thank goodness SU! die cuts all their stamps now, because otherwise I'd never get to my new stuff! I stamped the image 3 times, then paper pieced some of the packages and popped up the stack in front. I sewed the strings on the packages with some embroidery floss. The papers are from DCWV Nana's Kids Baby Girl pad. Those are so cute, and I'm running out of them! Why are girl cards so much more fun to make than boy cards?
The base is Vintage Violet and I also used my old standy - Certainly Celery. This card was delivered yesterday to the sweet twins next door that just turned one! They are growing up so fast, soon they'll be running around with the other kids on the block. The saddest thing for me is that Carter is only a few months behind them! Where DOES the time go?
I hope you all have a good weekend. I might not be back till next week, since we are traveling for Easter. Enjoy and don't eat too many treats! Thanks for looking.
