Sweet Baby Boy

My best friend just had her third baby - a boy. She has a boy the same age as Justin, a 2-year old daughter, and now a newborn boy. He is the cutest little thing and sadly I missed seeing him when I went home before Christmas because I was sick and didn't want to share my germs.

I did finally mail this card and some goodies for him, though, so I can post it here. This image was a RAK, and I don't even know what the name is. If you recognize it, give me a shout in the comments because it is just too darling!

The round panel is actually a coaster that I covered with the star dp. The curve of the moon was perfect for the circle, and the image is popped up a bit. The sentiment and rick rack die are from MFT. The little pearls are from Queen & Co.

I hope you all have a safe and happy New Year celebration. We actually hired a babysitter and are headed out to a neighborhood party. Thanks for looking!

160 Rounded Corners and 80 Cuttlebugged Letters Later

I made these bookmarks for Justin's classmates. I originally was going to just have them red with paper, but they looked too plain, so I added the "read." I had to run the letter die through the Cuttlebug 88 times and glue each letter, but I love how they turned out! The kids loved them, too :)

Merry Christmas to you all. Thanks for looking!

Gift Card Stockings

I needed more last minute gift card holders, and didn't want to make a plain one. I found this template link from Silke Ledlow's post HERE. **ETA** that link is for her stockings, the template is HERE. So cute and SO easy to put together!! I didn't go too fancy on the stocking top, just added some Queen & Co. self adhesive felt swirls. The papers are (you guessed it!) MME.

I hope you are getting all your last minute things done! I have been sick since coming home Monday night and hope the antibiotics kick in quickly. Carter is on antibiotics for a sinus infection, and Justin has Fifth Disease. So far, DH is healthy, but who knows with all the germs floating around the house if that will last. This is not the way to spend the week before Christmas!

Snow Swirl

I have to say this is one of my favorite cards made with the leftover MME papers and die cuts on my desk. There are more, but I just love this on! I don't even remember where the sentiment came from. The snowflakes are embellished with some flat backed pearls and I threaded some round pearls onto the linen thread across the sheer ribbon. This paper is just beautiful, and I will have more cards using up every last bit for next year! Have any of you started on Christmas cards for next year yet? I will get to them this week :)

Santa's Watching

How many of you have Elf on the Shelf? I need to pick one up for next year. I have heard great things about it helping to keep kids in line during the holidays. Some days, an upcoming birthday and Christmas all at the same time sends Justin into overdrive and there's no return without a meltdown. At least Carter is still pretty much clueless about everything going on!

This card uses more pieces from the MME Christmas kit. There are still a few more cards coming up using it, and I still have some leftover bits for next year. I'm starting my Christmas cards in January again - it was so nice to not rush at the end of the year to get them all made!

Season's Greetings

Can you believe it's December 15th? Yikes, I'd better start posting the cards I've sent out for Christmas before it's time to start posting Valentines! I am just about finished with all the holiday prep. We do have to figure out what to do for Christmas dinner, but we know we're having S'mores on our new patio for dessert! We had a huge landscaping project finished in our backyard, complete with new built-in grill and huge fireplace. Can't wait to get out and use it!

I hope you are all enjoying the season! Thanks for looking!

Gift Card Book

I am quite pleased with myself for coming up with this one on my own. I needed a holder for multiple gift cards, and didn't want to make a bunch of the standard ones. So, looking through my stash of stuff, I found that coasters are just the right size for adding a pocket and slipping a gift card inside! I used 3 coasters here, covering them all with papers from the MME pack I've been nibbling away at this season. The pockets are essentially scraps of red card stock that I trimmed with the scallop edge punch. A gift card will fit horizontally or vertically, but it's a little snug horizontally. To bind the booklet together, I added some silver eyelets to each coaster and tied them with some thin white ribbon. So easy, really!

Are you all getting ready for the holidays? I have been mentally buried since Thanksgiving with getting everything together, but the end is in sight. I just felt so unorganized this year and like I was moving in slow motion. However, the cards have been mailed, the packages have gone via Fed Ex, and the goody bags are just about finished for Justin's class. Two more card packs to make for my mom to give away and I'm DONE!! Well, except for wrapping for hubby and the boys...

I hope you are able to slow down and enjoy the holidays. They always seem to pass in such a mad rush! All the best to you! Thanks for looking!
