For the layout, I took the sketch from Card Patterns (#102). The papers are Soft Sky, and Paper Salon Enamored in Swiss Dot and Blue Scrolls. I think I picked up the papers at the LSS where I used to live, but can't be sure. The flower is made with the gorgeous tissue paper that Verve stamp orders come wrapped in. I cut out a bunch of scalloped circles with the Nesties, layered them and scrunched them up. The center brad and the brads in the upper left corner are from my stash. See, I'm using up stuff!
I'm in the process of reorganizing stuff in my craft room. It's getting there, but it's never going to be perfect, is it? But thank goodness for IKEA!! I hope you are enjoying the tail end of the weekend. Thanks for looking!
What a pretty handmade flower and beautiful card altogether. Thanks for playing with us at Card patterns.

ReplyDeleteLove the sentiment!!! Thx for joining us at Card Patterns!
ReplyDeleteLove the card, Melissa; the brown and turquoise are a great combo. The flower is such a perfect touch. You mentioned re-organizing your stamping area; I am also. I have been looking at the IKEA bookshelves; I found these 12x12 Dynamic Display 12 X 12 stacking trays at Amazon.com ($10 cheaper than other sites) that other paper crafters say fit perfectly on the IKEA shelves. I would be curious to see how you are organizing your supplies if you would not mind sharing. Have a good day.
