Sprinkle Each Day With Kindness

This sentiment by Verve Stamps is just perfect. I love all of Julee's sentiments and find they mix well with any other stamps. I created this card for Jen Tapler's blogaversary celebration. She is collecting cards to create kits to auction and raise money for Alzheimer's Disease. What a generous way to celebrate a blogging milestone. Another example of the huge hearts of all the stampers in the world!

The image came to me via a RAK, and I don't know the name of it. If you know, please comment and let me in on it! The paper is from Imagination Project, Take a Vacation. I used my Nestabilities Labels 2 and the Cuttlebug for the layers. The yellow layer is Bazzill, the base card is Certainly Celery. Flowers are Primas and there is a Bella Dot next to the sentiment. The brads on the flowers are Queen and Co, and I used some Diamond Glaze on the puddle and water splashes.

Go on over and check out the details on Jen's blog! I'm off to play with my new SU! goodies (the UPS man just came!). Thanks for looking!

Something Old, Something New

Have you seen the new blog, Use It! Challenges? Each Monday, they post a new challenge that incorporates materials all of us have in our stash! This week, the challenge is to use eyelets, something that's been in your stash for more than 1 year, and polka dots. Here's the fun card I came up with:

The sketch is from Mary Jo at TechnoStamper. It is Monday Lunchtime Sketch #62. I have not gotten one of these sketches done in months, and I'm glad to be back at it. Each week, she posts a great sketch to use!

I used some dp I picked up at my LSS last week - MME Kaleidoscope "Sunny Days" Stripe and "Sunny Days" Dots. The card base is Tangerine Tango and there is also some Soft Sky layered under the dots. The chipboard circles are the negatives from the Blossoms 1 Collection, inked with Colorbox Chalk inks. Eyelets are from my huge stash. The twill is stamped with Colorbox Chalk ink and a sentiment from Mocha Chica (CHF Kim Hughes Collection).

Time to got pick up DS from school. Thanks for looking!

Happy Spring!

Can you believe it's finally here? DS has been so excited for the first day of Spring, and we woke up to snow falling. Luckily, it's not sticking and should be stopping soon, but what a sight!

Here's a spring-y card I made for Easter using my new Basic Grey papers. This is from the Sultry pad. Love their papers!! The tree image is from Unity Stamps and the sentiment is Clearly Impressed. The small flowers are from Prima and the rhinestone centers are from my stash, as is the ribbon. This tree has been on my desk since I ordered it months ago, and I finally had the chance to ink it up. I love it! This card will probably go to my grandparents.

Well, I'm off to start laundry and then stamp some. I'm thinking it's a good day for a pajama day and being creative. Since it's so gray and gloomy outside, I'll stay in with my toys and catch up on all the challenges I've missed over the past few months. Thanks for looking!

Look! A Card!

Wow, it's been forever since I have had a new creation to post. We are headed to two birthday parties next weekend, though, so I thought I'd spend some time this morning getting back into the groove. It feels so good to be back in my craft room and feeling almost 100% normal. Except now my belly is going to start getting in the way!

I have a huge stack of images that have been sent to me in various RAKs. Some of my favorites are these Magnolias. The image is colored with watercolor pencils and mounted on scraps from my collection. The striped paper as well as the other background papers are from a Making Memories Travel pack from Target. The sentiment is from the Billy set by Pink Cat Studios and the twine was in my stash.

This is also my entry for the Show Us Your Sheetload for the March issue. I love that it is a square card, because I hardly ever make them.

Thanks for looking and thanks for sticking with me if you are here reading! Hopefully this is just the start of a new trend of more and more and more creating :)

Where I've Been...

I hope to get back in the crafting saddle today, or tomorrow. If any of you readers are still out there! It's going to take a while to build my stats up again!

However, there are very good reasons for my absence. I have been flat out with morning/all day sickness for the past 8 weeks or so, with a vacation to Florida in between. I found out that I am pregnant in early January and the morning sickness hit at exactly 6 weeks. It is still not fully gone, although I am feeling MUCH better. I don't remember it being so pervasive or lasting so long when I was pregnant with DS. We joke that it must be a girl, already giving me grief!

I have also quit my job 3 weeks ago and am adjusting to that reality. Since I have worked since I was 14 years old, it is strange to me to leave a job without having something else to move on to. However, the situation was getting very dicey there and in talking to people since I left, I'm glad I have removed that stress from my life. And more time to stamp (at least until Baby comes)!

So, apologies all around for not having any eye candy for you today. I just wanted to pop in and say that I will be back soon! I have new Nesties waiting for me on my desk, along with the Technique Junkies Newsletter that my SCS DSS sent me! I can't wait to play, but nausea really steals the mojo :(

See you soon!!
