Thank Y'All!

Carter turned one (YIKES!) on August 21, and these are the Thank You cards I made to send from him. I used Cowboy Billy from Pink Cat Studio and some cute paper I picked up before I left NJ. Now that we are in TX, I'm sure I'll be using Cowboy Billy more often. I just love the Billy stamps!

The sentiment is from MFT and is attached with some pewter brads. I used a brad on his belt buckle, too. Thanks for looking!

Baby Boy Card

It's too early to come up with a catchy blog post!! Here is a card I made using the digi stamp from Pink Cat Studio. Proceeds from this stamp went to the Anderson family who lost their son - such a sad story. The reason I made this card was a happy one, though. It went to my DH's cousin who just had her third baby.

I used the Crate Paper dp that I picked up at my LSS and stamped the sentiments from MFT under the image and also on the twill. The image is colored with my Bic Mark Its. Still love those markers, and can't bring myself to spend the dollars on Copics. The balloon is topped with glaze.

Last night I went to a grand re-opening for my lss, which just moved to a bigger new location. It is great! I got some papers for Justin's birthday invites (which have to be made and mailed TODAY!), a new CB folder and a few Spica pens. Oh, and a new color of Stickles. They have so many fun pretty things there, I had to pace myself so I can visit again soon :)

DH is off to New Zealand today for a few days on business, so after bringing Justin to gymnastics, I'm hoping to lock myself in my craft room for a few hours. I hope you all get some time for yourselves today, too :) Thanks for looking!

Cute Card Thursday Birthday

The challenge yesterday for Cute Card Thursday was to make a card using letters or numbers. This was perfect, as we are headed to a birthday party tomorrow for one of DS's friends. He is turning 6, and I needed a card for him! I used Billy from Pink Cat Studios, colored with my Prismacolor pencils. The 6 is a piece of Tim Holtz Grungeboard, sponged with Cat's Eye Chalk ink. The dp is We R Memory Keepers and the rust panel is Cuttlebugged. The star eyelets are from my stash.

I'm off to enjoy the sunshine and complete a few more challenges today. Hope you all have a good weekend! We will be enjoying a few last days with DH before he heads to a 3-week business trip to Asia. But my LSS is also have a used stamp sale and I'm debating going to check it out. My brains says yes, but my wallet screams NO! Thanks for looking!

Hoppy Birthday, Mason!

I actually produced two cards in a row! Does that mean I'm on a stamping streak? Let's hope it continues through the weekend...

Sunday is my best friend's son's birthday. He is turning 5, and I'm sad that this card probably won't arrive in his mailbox until Monday. I used the sketch from TechnoStamper and the SCS Ways to Use It challenge for today, which was to use plaid.

I mounted the panels on True Thyme cs, and the plaid is old Chatterbox Olive Den Plaid. The blue is Bazzill, I'm pretty sure, but who knows what the color name is! Stamps are the Billy set from Pink Cat Studio. I paper pieced the shirt and colored the rest with Prismacolor pencils. His skin is colored with a Copic, but I haven't found the perfect flesh tone coloring medium yet. Circles are cut using Nestabilities and the twill tape and twine are from my stash, as is the eyelet.

I hope he likes it! Thanks for looking!

Because Even Superheroes Need A Little Bling...

The Stampin Gals challenge this week is to use bling on your card. I chose to use this cute Billy stamp by Pink Cat Studio as my main image. He is just too cute as a superhero, a pirate, a cowboy and a boy with a frog on his head. He will be making many appearances over the next few months as we enter the Fall Birthday Season. Seriously, there is at least one birthday for DS's friends during each of the next 5 months. For bling, I added a rhinestone to his belt and also heat embossed the chipboard rick rack with Holographic EP. He is colored with Bic Mark-It markers and the circles for the sentiment are cut with Cuttlebug dies. I hope the lightning bolts around him show up in the photo.

It's been another doozy of a week, and I'm glad tomorrow is Friday!! I got the sweetest mail today - an envelope of Prima flowers from none other than Kim Hughes! What a great surprise :) She has new papers coming out tomorrow from CHF and I can't wait to see them.

This weekend, I will be going on a 13 mile "Route Preview" walk in preparation for the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer in NYC. Hopefully I won't be too tired afterward to spend some quality time in my craft room. It's been way too long since I had time to just play!

Have a good Friday. Thanks for looking!
