A Lost Cause-a-Bella

I sat down to make this card last night and realized that I have lost my Causabella stamp. I makes me crazy to think that I have lost anything, so I'm going to have to tear my room apart to look for her over the next week. But hey, it needs a good clean anyway! After I gave up the search last night and went to bed, I realized that I had a few sheets of the image stamped off, so got back to work today.

This card almost consolidates 2 challenges from the past week. Kerry's sketch from Three Clovers Designs, the Girlie theme from SCS Limited Supplies Challenge. {ETA: I just realized that the LSC was to use NO patterned paper unless it was made with stamps. So I'm not as far ahead of the game as I thought :(} The dp is from Perhaps by BG and the cardstocks are Pretty in Pink and Sahara Sand from SU! The hardware is also SU and the pearls are from my stash.

Since I've been making cards as needed lately (if I have the time), this one is headed out in the mail tomorrow to an aunt of mine who is undergoing radiation for breast cancer. Between DH's and my families, we have 3 aunts currently undergoing treatment for various cancers. Please keep them in your thoughts! We went from no family history to this in less than 6 weeks!

I hope you are all enjoying your weekend. Carter is sleeping in his bouncy chair right now and I'm thanking him for taking a nap so I could play in my craft room! I took Justin to a "Touch-a-Truck" event this morning and we had fun while Carter hung out with Daddy. So this afternoon was a little time for ME! Imagine...

Thanks for looking!

Floral Smile

Last Thursday's challenge at Three Clovers Designs was to make a shaped card. Since I recently picked up these new blossom Nesties from an LSS while visiting my mom, I had to use them. The base is a pale yellow Bazzill textured cardstock. The floral layer is from my scrap heap, as is the blue. The yellow center is the textured cs again, topped with a button tied with twine. The tag is cut from a Cuttlebug die and stamped with a Verve sentiment.

I love little cards like this and will keep it in my stash until the appropriate occasion comes along. Meanwhile, this is going to be baby week in my craft room as I am attending a baby shower this weekend and have lots of things to get done for the gift! How did June arrive so quickly???

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend - we were very busy with soccer, gardening, trip to the library, a trip to the zoo and housecleaning. DS and I are both exhausted, but we had lots of fun! Thanks for looking!

Two Posts in Two Days?

And if my plan goes well today, there will be more! I'm on a stamping roll the past few days and have lots of ideas to get out of my head.

May is a busy birthday month for us, and I made this card for my brother-in-law. His birthday is not until the last day of the month, but the inspiration hit me so I got it done. Now I just have to remember to mail it! I still have Mother's Day, teacher appreciation, and several birthday cards to make. Plus, I have to make 40 graduation invitations for my brother, who is graduating high school. Good thing I'm not working anymore, huh?

The sketch for this card came from Kerry at Three Clovers Designs. Each week she has a new challenge posted on Thursday. The overall size is 5x5 and the base is Bordering Blue. DP is from the same paper pad I used yesterday - The Story of Us. Beerafella is colored with Prismacolor pencils and blended with OMS. I stamped the beer cooler separately so it would fit in the circle. The twill is stamped with a sentiment from Birthday Centers by CHF and the square snaps are from my stash.
