This was a fun card for me to make and I'm happy that I finally got to use this Vintage Violet. It's a color that I love, but never know what to coordinate with it. Thanks for looking!

My Flowery Valentine
Donna, over at My Happy Place posted a challenge for some blog candy. The challenge is to create a Valentine card WITHOUT using pink or red. Here's my take on the challenge:I used a piece of BG Perhaps dp, cut the butterflies (moths?) and mounted them on a panel of Vintage Violet. The corners are punched with the Southwest corner punch, and then mounted on a panel of river-rock like color. This was the 2nd to last piece of paper in my pile of papers, and I was getting desperate to find the exact color I needed. Others were either too white or too yellow to match the dp! Falling down the side of the card are my new fave embellishment - primas! I have so many, I have to start using them! They are attached with antique copper brads. The sentiment is from MFT, Icing on the Cake, punched with the word window punch. I added stickles to the butterflies to make them stand out a tiny bit more. The sparkle shows more IRL.
