Soak up the Sun - I wish!

I got this MFT set a while back from my friend Cindy but haven't had the chance to open it up till tonight. Here is my attempt at creating a scene. I'm very tired and can't decide if I like it, but I do want to be wherever she is - lying in the sun with a frosty beverage and peace around her!

I used kraft cs as a base, then found this patterned blue paper that I tore for the waves. I watercolored the sky and sun, used my new glaze pen for the birds. For a cloud effect, I blotted white pigment ink with a cotton ball. I colored the images with watercolor pencils on white paper and cut them all out. The ball is popped up for depth, as if floating on the water. I spread my new Stickles all over for sparkle, in the water, on the sand. I think some even got into the sky. The sentiment is stamped in Cool Caribbean.

Well, it's very late here and I have to get to bed if I want to function tomorrow. DS is going to be Spidermand and I hope he actually wears his costume! And I hope I remember the camera to take some pics... Thanks for looking! Happy Halloween everyone!
